Language Arts:Today we reviewed how to take effective notes and how to write a summary using our science textbooks as an informational/non-fiction text.
HW: None
Math 8: Today we reviewed and corrected HW from over the weekend (TMM, pg 34, A-D). Student were given a review packet to use to study for quiz on Scatter Plots, finding Line of Best Fit, and an equation for the LBF, as well as being able to use the equation to predict the future and learn about the past.
HW: Complete Line of Best fit worksheet as a study guide
Algebra: Today we went over the outline for our survey project. Students worked within their groups to finalize their topic and survey questions before actually taking the data. Students have been given the week to complete their surveys as a group, they have been told to do so in their free time (i.e. lunch, before/after school, on the bus, passing time, during "free time" in class, etc.).
HW: Group Survey Outline completed, as well as individual copy (keep for yourself)
Social Studies: Today we spent the period going over the expectations for the President Research paper. Students were notified that the majority of the paper will need to be completed at home. We will spend the next five days in the library gathering information for the paper. However, after the initial week of research, the paper will need to be worked on at home. Due date to come.
HW: study presidents for Thursday's test on #22-44
Science: Today we learned about Bell Curves and "within normal limits" and took our hand span measurements. After that, we finished our labs from Thursday. We also got an additional graph to help raise our grades.
HW: Finish graphs and questions.
