Algebra
Today we did an overview on Lesson 3.3, "solving multi-step equations", including a partner activity in which the students were asked to justify their step when solving equations, which included a checklist as to which mathematical tools are at our disposal.

HW: MDL wrkbk, pg 34 all, pg 35 evens

Math 8
Today we corrected HW and worked on a group activity focusing on taking information and translating it between tables, graphs, equation and real world situations

HW: No HW

Language Arts:
Today we finished our reading of and notes on "The Monkey's Paw". Students were also introduced to their Reading Response 2 assignment based on this story.

HW: Students have received an extension on their "Vocabulary" assignment (which had a definition sheet and Cornell notes). This Vocabulary work is now due Friday. Reading Response 2 is also due Friday.

Science:
Today we watched Bill Nye and learned more about density and buoyancy.

HW: Work on your Density Puzzlers. They are due Thursday (tomorrow).

Social Studies:
Today we took a quiz on the 13 Colonies and graded it in class.

HW: study and complete the US physical features map, test is Nov. 2nd
