Algebra
Today we reviewed and discussed identifying information in story problems in order to create two separate equations to solve using Elimination, Substitution or Graphing methods of solving equations

HW: Divide up the 12 story problems given in class into 3 different categories.
A. 4 problems to solve using Elimination method
B. 4 problems to solve using Substitution method
C. 4 problems to solve using Graphing method


Math 8
Today we corrected and gave extra time in class to finish HW and ask questions The last 15 minutes of class we began a take-home Practice Quiz on Finding Slope

HW: work on practice quiz, have specific questions ready for class

Language Arts
Today we continued taking the OAKS Reading Test. Typically, students take about two days to complete the test, but a third day and/or make up days will be given to students who need more time or have been absent.

HW: None

Science
Today in class we learned about inertia and momentum.

HW: Finish the momentum worksheet.

Social Studies
Today in class we took the state capital's test. When students were done, they were asked to make flash cards of the 44 presidents. Those assessments will take place after winter vacation.
