Before you begin a thing, remind yourself that difficulties and delays quite impossible to foresee are ahead. If you could see them  clearly, naturally you could do a great deal to get rid of them but you can't. You can only see one thing clearly and that is your goal. Form a mental vision of that and cling to it through thick and thin.

Language Arts: Today we were introduced to the procedures for conducting internet research.  Some students are still gathering information from printed sources.

HW: None; finish your Call of the Wild assessment if you haven't done so!

Math 8: Today we finished up our 3rd and final class period with Oaks testing

HW: NONE

Algebra: Today we Took assessment on Function Notation

HW: 8.5 Study guide "Exponential Function"

Social Studies: Today we debated!!  Students participated in debating who was more prepared for war, the North or the South.

HW:  none

Science: Period 1 -  Today we compared and contrasted different types of volcanoes.

HW: None

Periods 6-8 - Today we finished our lab by looking at how most earthquakes and volcanoes are located at plate boundaries. We then watched a short video on Mt. St. Helens and THEN wrote down some vocabulary.
