Language Arts: Today we reviewed students' progress in Language Arts. We also began planning for and outlining our research papers.
HW: None
Students have an opportunity to make up a section of the test if they received a "no score" for misunderstanding the test questions or an "incomplete" for not completing this section. The section required them to make connections to Call of the Wild. The make-up connections will not be accepted after next Monday, 5/7/12.
Math 8: Today we reviewed pre-assessment and worked on practice test for Lessons 1-6, exploring Lines and Angles (LT 8.3.1).
HW: Study Practice Quiz with answers (answer key available in class)
Algebra: Today we explored Exponential Growth and Decay models. Used graphing calculators to compare graphs showing growth vs. decay.
HW: worksheet 8.5A (MDL pg 520)
Social Studies: Today we read about the North and South's strategies for war. Then students were to create a recruit poster for the civil war.
HW: if questions and poster are not completed then they are homework.
Science: Today we looked at more evidence that the Earth's plates have moved. This evidence is paleomagnetic ocean floor.
HW: Finish the worksheet. This should take no more than 20 minutes.
