Language Arts: Today we finished preparing for the second round of taking the OAKS Reading Test. Students who have already exceeded the state benchmark were given time to either complete their CH7 homework or begin work on a challenge assignment for Call of the Wild.

HW: Complete Chapter 7 reading and notes by Wednesday. (The deadline has been extended from 4/10 to 4/11.)

Math 8: Today we reviewed classifying angles as either obtuse, acute, or right, as well as, exploring congruent and adjacent angles.

HW: for period 6 & 8 only --- finish Lesson 2T (mostly done in class) and Lesson 2

Algebra: Today we worked on identifying information from story problems, including making inequality equations, graphing the system of inequalities and finding an appropriate solution (shading).

HW: Finish Story problems worksheet #s 1-6

Social Studies: Today we continued with day three of speeches. Students in 7th period that were scheduled to go today will be the first to go on Friday.

HW: none

Science: Period 1 - Today we went to the library and looked up earthquake information on the USGS website.

HW: None

Periods 6-8 - Today we looked at our earthquake risk maps and turned them in. We then used a guided reading worksheet to learn about faults and stresses in rocks that cause earthquakes.

HW: None
