Algebra
Today we reviewed yesterday's HW and covered specific questions involving using the substitution method of solving systems of equations. We also introduced the elimination method as an alternate strategy to solve.
HW: Thursday's HW extended over the weekend, also including Elimination worksheet
Math 8
Today we self corrected HW and continued working on finding slope
HW: worksheets, pg 152 and pg 153
Language Arts:
Today we continued practicing using our test-taking strategies in preparation for our OAKS Test. The practice test that students are completing will be assessed for proficiency in reading.
HW: Finish the practice test packet. Please note that students are to mark their reading passages to show either where they have found evidence to support their answer or to show they know what part of the text the question is referencing.
Please note, students who received an "I" for their trimester 1 grade have 11 DAYS to turn in any key assignment(s) that is the cause of their incomplete grade in Language Arts. If their work is not submitted by 12/13, their "I" will turn into an "F" permanently.
Social Studies:
Today we took an assessment on the Constitutional Convention. Then we practiced our state capitals. Spell and know 20 correctly.
HW: none
Science:
Today we did a warm-up how to graph speed. Then students received a handout on measuring constant speed and graph info.
