Language Arts:
Today we reviewed and discussed test-taking tips. Students then began practicing using these tips on a sample OAKS test.

HW: None
Please note, however, students who received an "I" for their trimester 1 grade have 12 DAYS to turn in any key assignment(s) that is the cause of their incomplete grade in Language Arts. If their work is not submitted by 12/13, their "I" will turn into an "F".


Algebra:
Today we began solving systems of equations using the graphing method and the substitution method.

HW: Complete worksheets started in class on solving systems graphically and using substitution. Both worksheets are double sided.

Math 8:
Today we continued working on finding slope

HW: Complete back side of Additional Practice worksheet , #s 3 & 4 (both sides should be complete by Friday)

Social Studies: Today we discussed the Virginia Plan and New Jersey Plan. Slavery and the 3/5 Compromise was also discussed.

HW: quiz tomorrow

Science: Today we worked on a guided reading that covered Speed, Distance and Velocity.

HW: Complete handout 6.1. Be ready to discuss in class tomorrow.
