Language Arts: Today we started reading Act 1, Scene 5.
HW: Students who did not finish reading Scene 5 need to read through the end of the scene. Also, write down at least five concrete details on character notes sheet (in the middle column).
Math 8: Today we began exploring data Patterns by conducting a "Bridge thickness" lab where students were asked to record accurate data and make observations and inferences on the data collected along with variables that may have effected the data
HW: No HW, did not finish lab in class, will finish tomorrow (1/12)
Algebra: Today we completed warm up # 8 and corrected Problems 1.1 & 1.2 in class as a table group. Students were also asked to comprise a list of variables that could have effected their data collection within the lab that coincided with problems 1.1 &1.2.
HW: worksheet - "Skill:Patterns and Predictions" (front and back)
Social Studies: Today we continued with notes on the Legislative Branch and went over answers from last night's homework. Students should have a good idea if they are taking clear notes that are helpful to remember what we learned in class.
HW: Preamble WS and study president's test (The test is broken into three proficiency levels: HP=knowing all presidents in order, their spelling and the years they served as president without any accommodations; PRO=knowing all presidents in order and their spelling without any accommodations; NP= knowing all presidents and their spellings with the presidents list as an accommodation.
For any of the tests, depending on what the student proves they've memorized, the above is the highest grade they can earn.)
Science: Today we started to look at Geologic Time by doing a time line.
HW: Attempt to finish said time line questions.
