Language Arts: Today we discussed how reading responses are to be formatted when we analyze literature. (We are using the TS, CD, CM, CM, CS model that students will also be expected to follow in high school.)

HW: None

Math 8: Today we read the handout, "The Chef's Hot and Cold Cubes." We answered the questions at the end.

HW: Homework questions

Algebra: Today we multiplied integers, coefficients, etc.

HW: Workbook p22 and p24. Lesson 2.4/2.5

Social Studies: Today we clarified Wednesday's homework. Many students said they were unclear of the homework when the substitute wrote it on board. Therefore, today became a work day in class.

HW: Read pages 76-80 and take 1 page of notes (government, trading, who and why they came to colonies), on back side of notes please answer questions #2-5 on page 80 and make sure 13 Colonies map is colored and labeled correctly

Science: Today we learned the "ladder method" to convert metric system numbers, and learned the roots/stems of the different measurements.

HW: Finish the Conversion Challenge if not finished in class. This should take no more than 15 minutes. Here is the worksheet.
