Language Arts: Today we learned about Step 3 of the "Writers' Workshop" writing process: conferencing. We discussed how when students give feedback, they need to specific about the location and the trait of writing they are commenting about.

HW: Bring your completed first draft tomorrow so that you are peer-conference ready!

Math 8: Today we worked on tables, graphs and equation in class, reviewed pg. 9, A-C

HW: A.C.E #'s 23, 24 (pg 18-19)

Algebra: Today we peer corrected lessons 1.3 and 1.4 in class, began looking at properties of real numbers (Ch.2 in MDL)

HW: workbook 2.1 (pg 16 & 17)

Social Studies: Today we looked at Geo regions and how they affect how and where we live.

HW: review 50 states for assessment on Sept 27

Science: Today we experimented with parachute designs to make our parachute's descent as long as possible. We will write an hypothesis and a procedure over the next two days.

HW: More people than I'm happy with did not finish their procedure from last week. This needs to be done and turned in Tuesday.
