Language Arts: Today we took a reading comprehension test. Students' scores on this test will be a factor in determining whether they are placed in appropriate enrichment/extension classes.

HW: The deadline for the "All About Me" expository essay assignment has been extended to tomorrow, 9/13/11.

Math 8: Today we worked on Analyzing and Representation.

HW: None

Algebra: Today we worked on order of operations.

HW: Worksheet 1.2, page 3 only

Social Studies: Today we looked at global interdependence and the United States. Students looked at distance between two cities.

HW: Complete Geo Review 1 and label the US map with states only.

Science: Today we redesigned our structures using different criteria. After we demonstrated our structures to the class, we started to write our reflections.

HW: Finish reflections in science spirals. HW should take no longer than 15 minutes.
