Language Arts: Today we continue to work on non-fiction texts. Students completed a vocabulary worksheet and Cornell notes for their reading.
HW: Reading response #1 was due today. No HW for the weekend if this is completed and turned in.
Math 8: Today we turned in spirals and finished lesson 2.3 (Comparing Costs) as a class. Discussed Y intercept and coefficient in greater detail. Handed back first quiz, second opportunity
HW: study for retake on Linear relationships and functions for Monday. Can use MSA text to study over the weekend.
Algebra: Today we reviewed and corrected HW from Lesson 3.2. Mini conference with each student, turned in spirals and returned tests to students. Second opportunity to reach proficiency (retake test) will be Monday.
HW: Study textbook lessons 1.1 - 1.4, 2.1 - 2.5. and 3.1 - 3.2 for retake Monday
Social Studies: Today we completed the handout on the Southern Colonies. We then passed back three graded assessments. We also made our assessment folder that is kept in the classroom for the school year.
HW: none
Science: Today we found mass, volume and density of eight different cubes. We then graphed the information and answered questions.
HW: None. Have a GREAT weekend. Rest and relax.
