Language Arts: Today we reviewed students' possible topics for their personal essay and learned about the first step of the writing process, pre-writing. We took a close look at their topics and decided whether they had the potential for strong ideas and content.
HW: Complete the pre-writing worksheet for their topic of choice. The topic is for the personal essay they will begin drafting tomorrow.
Math 8: Today we were in the computer lab completing district required easy CBM testing

Social Studies: Today we looked at a map of Western Europe and I assigned a proficiency assessment for tomorrow on grid map, latitude and longitude, location of cities, states and countries, compass/direction, etc.
HW: Review this week's homework to prepare for tomorrow's assessment.
Science: Today we wrote a procedure that provided information on how many water drops fit on a penny without spilling over the sides. We also graphed our data.
HW: Finish writing your procedure if you didn't finish in class. There is a spiral check tomorrow to make sure that both reflections are done.
