Language Arts: Today we reviewed how students could complete their Reading Response assignment. We also reviewed the process for working through informational (a.k.a. non-fiction texts).
HW: Reading Response 1 analyzing a literary device in "The Landlady" is due tomorrow.
Math 8: Today we reviewed HW 2.2 A & B, and completed C & D. Today's Warm Up was to make a graph without staff/peer assistance. Started lesson 2.3 (Comparing Costs) in class, officially introduced the terms Y intercept and coefficient.
HW: MSA pg 28, 2.3 A
Algebra: Today we completed Warm Up #004 and reviewed adding, subtracting, and multiplying mixed fractions. On Monday the students will have a second opportunity to show proficient work on our first learning target (Operation with Fractions and Decimals, and Integers). Students will receive there tests back tomorrow (Fri.). We finished class reviewing last night's HW and took notes on two-step equations.
HW: Workbook 3.2 (pg 32 - all) (pg 33 - odds)
Social Studies: Today we broke into small groups and shared our part about Southern Colonies. We will finish this tomorrow.
HW: none
Science: Today we took notes about density and solved density problems.
HW: Not one bit!
