Language Arts: Today we continued our reading of Call of the Wild by beginning to read Chapter 7. We discussed a few examples of literary devices.

HW: Identify and analyze at least one literary device in your Chapter 7 Notes sheet.

Math 8: Today we reviewed quizzes taken the week before spring break, and handed back assignments/graded quizzes.

HW: Bring "Looking For Pythagoras" to return tomorrow, will be checking out "Lines & Angles"

Algebra: Today we reviewed work on inequalities that we started before spring break. Students were given opportunity to ask individual questions upon finishing their HW from over the break (6.3C and 6.7C)

HW: Pizzazz Packet, 4 pages (solve inequalities using number line, solve inequalities with equation, and solve inequalities graphically)

Social Studies: Today we watched Ms. Linahan give a speech in class while students used the scoring rubric to grade her. Speeches start Tuesday and run through the week.

HW: Practice speech and get the outline completed, as it will be graded and turned in.

Science: Period 1 - Today we read about the Richter and Mercalli scales, and worked on a guided reading worksheet.

HW: None

Periods 6-8 - We started a new lab called Identifying Types of Volcanoes. We looked at the content of lava and how it has an effect on explosiveness of eruptions.

HW: Finish lab questions if not done in class.
