Language Arts: Today we began reviewing for our Call of the Wild final. Some students reviewed the key points of each chapter while others began relating the book's details, events, and characters to themes for the book.

Math 8: Today we began lesson 5 in Lines and Angles (pg 23), "alternate exterior and interior angles"

Algebra: Today we reviewed Fractional Exponents worksheets as a class.

HW: No new HW

Social Studies: Today we looked at our sub-topics with Linahan. I tried to speak with each student to make sure they are on the right track. When done with sub-topics, time to write thesis statement!

HW: Work on thesis statement for Western Expansion paper.

Science: Yesterday there was an earthquake at the Java Trench. This became a teachable moment because we are studying earthquakes right now. We watched a video on the 2004 Java Trench earthquake and Tsunami and will be relating this back to our earthquake unit.
