Language Arts: Today we looked at examples that connected concrete details (CDs) from the text with commentary (CM) that accurately interpreted the text. We compared interpretations of the text in order to compare the level of proficiency different interpretations obtained.

HW: Finish reading Act I, Scene III (students received copies in class) and make ONE connection to Act I. The connection should be written on the sheet students received a few days ago but lined paper will do. Connections can be text to text, self, or society.

Math 8: Today we finished warm up #4 gave class time to complete HW. Students were given an opportunity to retake "Determining & Understanding Slope" assessment.

HW: Oaks Practice Test

Algebra: Today we finished Exploring Data Patterns Labs and gave retake opportunities on "Solving Systems of Equations" assessment.

HW: Oaks Practice Test

Social Studies: Today we completed the National Geographic Bee in class.

HW: None

Science: Today we started our Physics Assessment. We are creating comics to illustrate seven key Newtonian Physics concepts. The worksheet is here.

HW: Option to work on comic. It will be due on Monday at the end of the period (the kids will have Monday's class to work on the assignment).
