Language Arts: Today we were introduced to our first Reading Response assignment of the trimester. We discussed how to write a proficient character analysis and had to time to start writing it.
HW: Complete Reading Response 1 by analyzing any character (EXCEPT PETER) at the BEGINNING of the play. This means you are pulling your concrete details (text evidence) anywhere from Act 1, Scenes 1-3. Use your notes and interpreting practice worksheet for help! RR1 is due tomorrow!
Math 8: Today we continued working on 'exploring data patterns" lab. Lab should have been completed during the period, giving plenty of time to begin answering the HW questions dealing with the lab results.
HW: TMM pg. 7 Problem 1.1, A-E(1)
Algebra: Today we Reviewed Problem 1.3, along with "Patterns and Prediction" worksheet. Began looking at using a graphing calculator as a math tool by completing a guided practice "Scavenger Hunt" that is to be completed in class (as most students do not have their own graphing calculators)
HW: None. If you have a graphing calculator at home, please bring it to class as we are short about 9 calculators as a class set
Social Studies: Today we looked at a flowchart on How a Bill Becomes a Law and followed the process. Completed questions in class.
HW: quiz tomorrow on the legislative branch.
Science: Today we looked at the Geologic Time Scale and found where/when certain organisms emerged on Earth.
HW: Finish worksheet if not done in class (this should take no more than 10 minutes).
