People are more easily led than driven.
David Harold Fink

Language Arts: Today we continued work that students began in science and practiced note-taking on an informational (science) text. Students who did not finish their Anne Frank Final Test also had a chance to continue working on it.

HW: None

Math 8: Today we continued looking at scatter plots and predicting data, worked on HW assignment in class. Students also had the option to finish any missing work. We finished the period with a mock quiz on scatter plots.

HW: TMM, pg 34, #4 A-D

Algebra: Today we explored possible survey topics as a class. Table groups chose 1 topic which they wanted to survey at Meadow Park. Groups chose a sampling method, specific sampling group (boys/girls, grade level, by hall, staff/student), and how many people they wanted to survey. After choosing these parameters, the students created 5 possible survey questions (3 without bias, 2 with bias)

HW: within your group, have your survey questions, sampling method and population ready for Monday.

Social Studies: Today we took the assessment on Article II & III of the Constitution.

HW: Study presidents 22-44.

Science: Today we used Skittles™ to simulate a radioactive isotope decaying into a stable element. This is to help us understand the concept of half-life.

HW: Nah...it's a three day weekend...
