Language Arts: Today we read Act I, Scene II of the Anne Frank play. We also reviewed the importance and use of concrete details (text evidence), and students began collecting CDs that will soon be used to analyze a character from the play.

HW: None

Final reminder: the last day to turn in the Holocaust Research packet is tomorrow.

Math 8: Today we started Warm Up #4 and did a partner activity relating to translating information from a table --> graph --> equation --> story.

HW: Solving systems of equations by graphing (front & back) #s 1 - 8

Algebra: Today we began exploring data patterns by conducting a "bridge thickness" lab where students were asked to record accurate data make observations and inferences on the data collected and variables that may have effected their results.

HW: Worksheet pg 7, A - E (not E.2)

Social Studies: Today we began our government unit by taking notes on the Preamble and its meaning.

HW: Review notes and study presidents #1-21 for the test on Jan. 19th.

Science: Today we finished collecting data for our 2nd Law lab. We started graphing the data and answering the analysis questions.

HW: Finish the graph and analysis. This should take no more than 30 minutes.
