Language Arts: Today we learned about the two reading targets students will be assessed for this trimester, Interpretation (Character Analysis) and Connect/Respond. We also began our reading of the play adaptation of The Diary of Anne Frank. We read Act I, Scene I and wrote a summary of it.

HW: None

Math 8: Today we reviewed quiz taken before winter break on "Determining and Understanding Slope" and finished Table-Graph-Equation-Story worksheet (green).

HW: No Homework

Algebra: Today we began Warm Up #7 and reviewed/wrote notes/corrected "Solving Systems of Equations" assessment taken before winter break

HW: No Homework

Social Studies: Today we welcomed in the new year! In class we discussed what was coming in January: research paper on a president, president's tests, government unit, and then we passed back some papers and talked about the importance taking good notes and reviewing them every night as to stay on top of class work.

HW: review president flash cards.

Science: Today we reviewed Newton's First Law of Motion, and started in on a lab to learn Newton's Second Law of Motion.

HW: None - the lab must be done in class.
